UNIVERSITY COLLEGE

Since 1977

Berea Theological University College started as the Church of God Foundation Bible School in Mufulira, Zambia on January 10, 1977 with 12 students and three part-time teachers.

Equip Ministers

To prepare men and women for Christian ministry in the church and community. BTUC is dedicated to carrying out this mandate in obedience to the Great Commission and fully committed to the spiritual, theological, doctrinal and ministerial emphases of the Church of God.

Minsterial Formation

To be an institution that is committed to spiritual formation and growth, biblical knowledge, and Pentecostal Distinctives.

Accreditation


BTUC is a Private Higher Education Institution. We are governmentally registered as a University College by the Higher Education Authority (HEA) of Zambia (hea.org.zm) to offer ACCREDITED programs.


In addition, we are certified by the Church of God Division of Education (USA) as a degree granting institutions with oversight from Church of God (churchofgod.org) as a ministry of Church of God World Missions (cogwm.org).


BTUC's current registrations, accreditations, certifications, authorizations, and memberships are as follows:

  1. Registered and Accredited by the Higher Education Authority (HEA) of the Zambian government.
  2. Registered with the Patents and Companies Registration Agency (PACRA) of Zambia.
  3. Member of Christian Colleges & Universities Association (CCUA) of Zambia.
  4. Certified by the Church of God Division of Education (USA) as a Level III theological training institution and officially approved to offer degrees.
  5. Authorized by the Church of God School of Ministry (USA) to offer Certificates in Ministerial Studies (CIMS).
